While I love my nail art, clean & somewhat neutral nails will always be my go-to when I have no specific designs in mind. OPI’s Funny Bunny & Bubble Bath combo is a popular combination for the girls that love a soft pink leaning neutral. While I love the combo when I still went to nail salons, I have been doing my own gel nails for a decade now OPI gel polish can get pretty pricey. I’ve gone through tons of trials and errors to find a combo that was close to my fave ratio of Bubble Bath & Funny Bunny which was 1 layer each, and surprisingly it’s under $15!
The polishes are from a brand called FZANEST on Amazon and they’re just $6.99 a bottle. It’s actually considered a builder gel in a bottle but I just thin it out with a bit of acetone to get a more polish-like application. Two light coats of Milk Pink and a coat of Milk gives me the same slight sheer pale pink that I used to get from combining one coat each of OPI Bubble Batch & Funny Bunny. I think at $14 compared to the roughly $40 for OPI, the FZANEST polishes are a pretty good dupe for those who like to do their own sets at home.
The photo above is an example of what you may get with 2 layers of Fzanest’s Milky Pink and one layer of Milk.
More on My Gel-X Nails at Home
- When I am not wearing my own nails I use a couple of different gel tips but for this specific set, I used the Apres Gel-X Natural Short Tips.
- I use the Young Nails Protein Bond, Beetles Glue Gel & lamp, Markartt Base, and Gelaze top coat.
I have saved so much money since I started doing my nails at home, and I have done everything from acrylics to polygel to gel-x. Leave a comment below for a full tutorial on how to do this easy and quick set that can last for weeks.
